Class Styles

Rocket Yoga

The Rocket practice is a dynamic and balanced vinyasa class created by Larry Schultz.  It is based from the Ashtanga systems that also includes many optional arm balances, inversions, and binds to help challenge the yogi to further their asana practice.  It includes constant movements with your breath to help “get you there faster” as said by Larry Schultz himself.  Yoga can expect to sweat and work hard.

Hot Flow / Hot Yoga / Vinyasa / Yoga Flow

A dynamic and challenging sequence of postures that synchronizes breath with movement in order to build strength, balance, and flexibility. These classes are heated to 36-38 degrees Celsius (Vinyasa & Yoga Flow are non-heated).

All levels welcome but the heat is usually a challenge to beginners. This class is designed to open our bodies and relax our minds.  Each class will begin with a focus on breath, followed by a combination of sun salutations, standing postures, floors postures and finish with savasana.

Hatha

Hatha Yoga refers to the origins of all yoga styles. It includes a wide range of movements and postures that stretch, strengthen, align and stimulate all systems of the body. This practice is a great compliment to any form of physical activity, for those who wish to maintain and deepen their existing yoga practice and for those who are new to yoga. This class is taught by holding traditional postures and moving between postures without sun salutations or flow. Hatha yoga is the staple of all yoga practice and is recommended for all levels.

Hatha: Happy Hips

This class focuses on your hips to release tension stored from long periods of sitting, sports/physical activities, and tight muscles. Supple hips can ease back pain, give you a more agile gait, and may improve circulation in your legs. Like the junk drawer in your house, the hips are where negative emotions, such as stress, fear, and sadness are energetically-held. By doing hip-opening poses, you free up that space for prana (life force) to move through your pelvis and to clear out the emotional junk. This class is also offered in a warm environment (32 degrees).  All levels are welcome.

Come and enjoy the creativity of a hip opening sequence. Explore the tension and stress, and then let it go.

Inversions

Let gravity work for you. Inversions are good for your lungs, heart, thyroid, and more. We will warm up the body with a flow practice and then make our way into some upside down poses. Want to have fun in yoga?…then this class is for you. This class is not recommend for beginners. It is not necessary to have experience with inversions.

Restore and Renew

Restore and Renew is a class designed for conscious relaxation of the body/mind. Props are used to support the body, comfort is encouraged to relax the nervous system and through guided breath, imagery and meditative exercises, time slows down. When the body/mind relaxes we create the space for internal balance, restoration and health renewal. Restorative yoga helps relieve the effects of chronic stress and assists in decreasing ones biological markers for age. This class encourages you to be more and do less. It is recommended for anyone wishing to experience the health benefits of less stress.
