Long Boarding in the Rain

The rain has finally come and it’s coming. Almost 24hrs straight now, no sun, no stars and no eclipse that many were able to see elsewhere. Interestingly because of the rain I have used my long board more to help shorten my 30 min walk to a 15 min ride. When I first arrived in Ucluelet with my board I was terrified of the hills here. This morning I was bombing most of them. A few are still too big but at least I’ve progressed and that’s all we can ask for in life. Progression and growth.

Yesterday in the training we all had the chance to lead our first “class”. We were doing simple sun salutations with each person taking turns leading our breathe. Exhale…Inhale. Fairly simple, but adding in my nerves of public speaking, breathing while talking and finally doing the sun salutation itself all adds up quickly for your first time. But I survived it, the second time was easier and we all did great. Now I’m trying to learn how to talk and breathe in at the same time. I’m finding it hard.

In the afternoon we went over some sanskrit, something I’ve found hard learning on my own but Insiya brought in some new insight and I think it will be a bit easier from now own. Just a bit more memorizing and well a whole lot more practice with the accent.

Overall, a great day!

Light + Love,
Josh
